I started writing production code in 2005: as a web developer in PHP and JavaScript, then embedded C at Intel, then leading the monolith-to-microservices transformation and ML product matching at scale at eMAG (Romania's largest e-commerce platform). After shipping the first release of a contact-center platform at Bird (MessageBird), I built multi-cloud aviation platforms and led SOC2 compliance at i6 Group, and since 2023 I've served as Principal Engineer at Printify.
Along the way, I've watched wave after wave of abstraction change how software is built. My philosophy has never changed: architecture only matters if it improves business outcomes and human leverage.
I speak CEO strategy (trained through Harvard's strategy curriculum and TOGAF Business Architecture) and I write production TypeScript, NestJS, and cloud infrastructure code. Today I sit at the exact intersection of enterprise architecture and production agentic AI, spec-driven agent systems, machine-readable architecture registries, and AI products with real users and real stores.
“Gurgui” is Romanian for “summit”, the peak of a hill or mountain. The name turned out to be the job description.
